I look forward to welcoming families and students back to school! The first day of school for students is Monday, August 21. The doors open at 9:10, the tardy bell rings at 9:20, and dismissal time is 4:00 PM.
Having up-to-date emergency contact information for our families is vital. We need all families to complete the annual Back to School Packet. Until this packet is complete, parents/guardians will be unable to access important information in ParentVUE to start the new year (including bus information and the name of your child’s teacher). or call our office at 571-598-3500. Also, if you are aware of neighbors or family members who have not registered their children for kindergarten, please encourage them to register as soon as possible!
The deadline for students to meet the immunization requirement for mandatory immunizations for public school enrollment is Thursday, August 17, 2023. If you have questions, please contact our school nurse, Ms. Vicki Shipley or visit the immunization requirements webpage https://ss.ly/rkc7DI
We look forward to welcoming our new Kindergarten families during the Kindergarten Orientation on Wednesday, August 16th from 3:00 – 4:00 PM.
Our students and families in grades 1st through 5th are invited to meet their teachers at Open House on August 17th at the following times:
Between 2:00 and 3:00 PM - families with last names beginning with A-L
Between 3:00 and 4:00 PM -families with last names beginning with M – Z

Each week, you will receive an email and text update from me with the latest news and upcoming events at Chris Yung Elementary. These weekly messages will be sent through School Status, as this one is. School Status will be the primary tool that teachers and staff use for communication this year.
